Roberto Parmeggiani

After completing his musical studies, (Parmeggiani) first concentrated on choral music, attending courses in Italy with F. Corti, R. Gabbiani, R. Gandolfi and with E. Ortner at the International Choral Academy of Krems (Vienna).

In 1998 he won 3rd Prize at the First International Competition for Chorus Conductors in Trento. Already conductor of the C. Merulo Choir (Reggio Emilia) and the A. Galli Choir (Rimini) he undertook further studies specializing in orchestra conducting with Piero Bellugi.

In various musical seasons he worked as Conductor’s Assistant, Stage music director and Prompter at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Florence, taking part in a tour of Japan in 2001, in productions directed by Z. Mehta, C. Abbado, C. Thielemann, M. Whun-Chung, D. Oren; at the La Scala Theatre in Milan by R. Chailly; at the R. Valli Theatre in Reggio Emilia, by P. Maag and A. Zedda; in 2007 he was Assistant to Patrick Fourniller at the G. Verdi Theatre in Trieste.

He has worked with the Symphony Orchestra of Emilia Romagna A. Toscanini,  the Pesaro Symphony Orchestra, the Pro-Arte Marche of Fano, Karmelos of Udine, Bruno Maderna of Forlì and the Ravenna City Orchestra.
