SOPRANO
Elisabeth-Maria Wachutka’s training as an opera and concert singer began at the Richard Strauss Music Conservatory and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. Her teachers were Lorenz Fehenberger and Josef Metternich.
She attended the master classes of Erika Köth and Erik Werba and was awarded scholarships from the Walter Kaminsky Foundation (Munich), the Richard Wagner Society (Munich) and has won numerous competitions in Germany. Her vocal mentor is Ute Vinzing.

Elsa, Elisabeth, Senta, Isolde and Brünnhilde – the young women in Richard Wagner’s operas – are the focus of her repertoire, as well as the Empress, Ariadne, Salome and Electra in the operas of Richard Strauss.
Elisabeth-Maria Wachutka has performed at major venues worldwide, including the Vienna State Opera, the San Francisco Opera, the Saxonian State Opera Dresden, the German Opera Berlin, The Teatro San Carlo, Naples, the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi, Trieste and the Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos, Lisbon.
The artist has sung at the Richard Strauss Days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Daphne, Guntram), the Autumn Music Days in Bad Urach (I Masnadieri, Rainulf and Adelasia), the Tyrolean Festival Erl (Elektra, Siegfried) as well as the festivals in Besançon, Lyon and Lille.
Over the years the singer has worked with many directors:
Christian Thielemann, Lorin Maazel, Adam Fischer, Gustav Kuhn, Jun Märkl, Kazushi Ono, Roberto Paternostro, Christof Prick, Donald Runnicles, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Stefan Soltesz und Pinchas Steinberg.
On the concert stage the soprano has appeared with major European and international orchestras.

In autumn of 2009 Elisabeth-Maria Wachutka released her first recital, on SoloVoce, accompanied by the Wuettemberg Philharmonic Reutlingen under the baton of Roberto Paternostro.
